A guessing game by way of introduction

  1. Well, I know that Frister & Rossmann made a Caligraph clone, which was called, creatively enough, the Frister & Rossmann. But that would be about 30 years before the time you indicated. I'll rack my memory and see if I can figure out what typewriter F&R made later. (I won't cheat and google it.) My guess on the typeface is Fraktur.

  2. Hmmm... a Senta with a blackletter typeface?

  3. OK, I'm going to ride Tori's coattails. I intuit that she's right. A three-row Senta portable with a blackletter typeface, AKA Fraktur.

  4. Well, that was easy! Richard and Tori, you can expect my letters shortly (Tori, I can always send yours c/o Rev. Munk, right?).

Since I did say 3, the next person to comment in any capacity gets a letter too :-)

    More to come very soon...

  5. I have no idea what machine this might be, but I do want to say how lovely the typeface is.
