I'm sorry for your loss. But it's great to read your words again, I look forward to much more. Like you, I don't collect as much, and feel I must write more.
A happy new year to you, and we are very glad to have you back and healing. Please continue to find the joy in life and share it with us, as you have been missed by us loopy ticky-tackers. (:
Very good to have you back in the Typosphere! I missed your blog. Mrs. M and I were both saddened at your loss of J. Tragic. You are both about the age of our sons and daughter. Time to move on as best you can, and I believe by your post you are doing just that. I never knew Portugal was such a spectacularly beautiful place. Thank you for sharing your trip.
Good to see you back, Adwoa. My uncle and auntie seem to spend every Christmas in Funchal - for the very same reasons of accessibility and warmth. And English being spoken and understood widely! Perhaps your paths crossed. This is brave writing in your post. I hope it helps and I hope you keep it up. Fond wishes for 2017.
Words can barely express my joy at seeing your post. Welcome back to the world at-large! You have been on my mind lately, and I will soon write you a letter.
What the others said - and also: best wishes for the year 17 from Holland. (Actually had been thinking of your blog and postings last month, as I was considering a nice, clean Singer 28K...)
Welcome back, Adwoa! I know how difficult the past years have been for you and this is the best New Year present you could have given me. My love and friendship remain with you and I will keep in touch, hope you received my card, a letter will follow soon! Love, Peter
If you ever are looking for a sympathetic eye to exchange pages with, let me know. Writing led me to picking up and fixing the occasional typewriter I've stumbled across -- always rusted, neglected, reminding me of my father. There is no better way of getting through loss (I feel) than writing one's way out of it. Kind thoughts and wishes to you as you travel forward.
I'm certainly late to the party (which seems to be a common occurrence for me for a while now), but here's a belated glad to see you back at any capacity!

ReplyDeleteGood to see you back. I think you stopped blogging around the time I started back in 2013. ;)
